Welcome to the Discussion Forum on Emission of Pesticides into the Air This forum aims at giving a contribution to the scientific discussions and the advancement of knowledge about the emission of pesticides into the air during as well as after application for agricultural purposes. The forum is meant in particular for scientists that are actively doing research on the emission of pesticides; it covers both experimental and modelling work. However, staff members of registration boards and policy makers that have a scientific interest in this topic can also participate the discussions. The forum is a follow-up of the international workshop on Emission of pesticides into the air held on 11-12 February 2004 at Alterra, Wageningen, The Netherlands. This workshop has been jointly organized by Alterra (Wageningen, the Netherlands), INRA (Grignon, France) and FZ Jülich (Jülich, Germany). The current forum has three discussion categories: 1. General 2. Emission during application 3. Emission after application Each of these categories has the following subcategories: 1. Measurement - discussion of measurement issues 2. Modelling - discussion of modelling issues 3. Events - announce and discuss symposia, meetings and congresses on the topic 4. Links - specification and discussion of links to websites with information relevant on the topic Members of the Forum can start a discussion in any discussion group or participate in an already ongoing discussion.
